Painting and Decorating Association launches website to boost business for members

A new website launched by the Painting and Decorating Association is set to boost business for members.

Now available at www.paintingdecoratingassociation.co.uk the site has been completely overhauled, with a host of features for members and their potential customers.

The PDA Code of Practice and information on membership requirements will all be available on the site too – enabling customers to fully understand the quality of workmanship they can expect from a PDA member.

Neil Ogilvie, chief executive of the PDA, said: “The website offers a great opportunity for our members to showcase themselves, their talent, experience and skill.

“It gives painters and decorators a presence under the banner of Britain’s largest trade body for the industry and allows them to combine customer reviews with information about the benefits of employing a PDA member.

“There’ll also be a whole range of features for members including our industry-leading e-learning training package, a forum and even an online shop – so all their needs can be met in one place.”

Painters and decorators will be included on the website as part of a membership package which can cost as little as 44p per day.

With free support and advice on business growth, access to discounted legal and insurance services as well as a range of discounts and benefits from the Association’s partners, PDA membership can save painters and decorators more than their overall joining fee.

Customers visiting the new website will be able to request a quote from members as well as having the chance to leave feedback – combining the popularity of review-only sites with the assurance the organisation’s Code of Conduct and wider services such as its arbitration facility.

Mr Ogilvie added: “It’s difficult for people who want to employ a professional tradesman to sift through the vast quantity of information online.

“Our website will make it a lot easier because all of our members are professional painters and decorators who have earned the right to display the quality marque – a symbol of confidence, professionalism and integrity.”
