Ibstock is celebrating after its products were used in more than 20 projects shortlisted for this year’s Brick Development Association (BDA) Brick Awards.
Bricks manufactured by the Leicester-based company, which has 18 manufacturing sites nationwide, feature in 22 shortlisted projects, with the awards recognising excellence in brickwork and architectural design in the UK and beyond.
Ibstock’s products appear in shortlisted projects across most of the BDA’s 14 award categories, including the prestigious Craftsmanship, Public, Urban Regeneration, and Education categories. The manufacturer’s contribution to the residential sector has also been celebrated, with nominations in both the Housing Development and Housebuilder categories — the latter in partnership with some of the UK’s most prominent housing developers, affirming Ibstock’s role as a major supply to the uK housebuilding industry.
Among the shortlisted projects featuring Ibstock bricks are:
- The Setl Project – a striking urban redevelopment in the heart of Birmingham
- Shrewsbury School’s New Girls’ Accommodation Building – Ibstock bricks complemented the classic aesthetic of one of the country’s most prestigious schools
- 247 Wimbledon – a bold reimagining of the modern corporate office in one of London’s most vibrant boroughs
