Supertouch launches new Pawā range of multinorm gloves for wet working conditions

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Workwear specialist, Supertouch, has expanded its Pawā range of high-performance work gloves with the introduction of a new cut and water-resistant model.

The PG251 glove combines EN ISO Level D cut resistance with advanced hand protection technologies to improve safety, user comfort and operational performance in challenging conditions. The Pawā glove is the latest addition to Supertouch’s premium protection range of workwear, which aims to address the diverse needs of the workforce across both the UK and Ireland.

Using dual layered coating for enhanced water repellence, PawāDRY technology safeguards the wearer’s hand in wet working conditions. Furthermore, the PG251 offers enhanced grip through its unique PawāGRIP latex micro foam coating, while also providing Level 1 protection against intermittent heat contact of up to 100°C.

As a result, the PG251 is ideally suited for a broad range of applications. These include wet and dry handling, the handling of cutting tools and sharp objects, as well as general MRO activity throughout the agriculture, construction, logistics, metal fabrication and mineral extraction industries.

Khurram Akhtar, Director of Products at Supertouch, comments: “Working outside can bring with it a host of protective challenges that health and safety officers need to be mindful of when ordering appropriate PPE. Not only are employees exposed to several potentially hazardous handling applications, but the cut risk is heightened if the weather turns as mechanical grip reduces and workers use more force to keep hold of things. That’s why it is essential to not only have a cut-resistant glove, but also one which can enhance grip in wet weather.

“While no single glove will be suited to all working conditions, and certain tasks will always require very specific hand protection, the PG251 comes pretty close to offering the ideal combination of dexterity, user comfort and grip; while providing effective water repellence, Level D cut resistance and Level 1 heat protection.”

The PG251 series is available in a range of sizes from small to 2XLarge.
