Seamless worktops from Maxtop Quartz

Maxtop Quartz has introduced a worktop with a seamless finish.

Over the last 12 months the company has invested £2m into building a purpose-built factory in China to manufacture the new product. Historically, each Maxtop surface required four separate pieces of quartz edge to be assembled around the patented honeycomb interior to create the worktop. Now, the new product uses just one solid piece of quartz to encase the lightweight centre, streamlining the manufacturing process and guaranteeing a seamless look and finish.

The 1.5mm bevelled edge is a subtle yet effective alteration, half the depth it was on the original Maxtop surfaces.

As before, all Maxtop Quartz surfaces are 40mm thick and made from solid quartz. Yet, unlike heavy solid stone alternatives, the unique interior makes it much simpler to handle and install, reducing characteristics typically associated with solid surfaces, such as time, cost and order/installation time.

Stephen Moss, managing director of Maxtop Quartz Ltd, said: “Maxtop Quartz has always been a unique proposition in the surface market and we’ve been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to develop the product to make it the best it can possibly be.

“We’ve also revised our décors after much careful consideration and are confident that we have a shade for all kitchen styles. The range now includes a selection of timeless black, white and grey finishes, but has also seen the introduction of two marble-effect décors; Alba and Tundra which we’re expecting to be very popular.

“Stylish, durable, lighter and more affordable than traditional stone, Maxtop delivers quartz where it counts, and we’re delighted we’re now able to share the next generation of our market-leading surfaces.”
