The new smart platform transforms water management
DAB Pumps has launched H2D, a next-generation smart platform that transforms how building professionals and property owners manage hydraulic systems. Replacing the company’s long-standing DConnect system, H2D introduces real-time remote control, advanced diagnostics and detailed consumption insights, all from your desktop or mobile.
H2D is designed to give both professionals and end users greater visibility and control. Available in two tiers, the free version is designed primarily for homeowners and building owners and managers. It provides easy access to essential monitoring data and simple functionality, including the ability to trigger features like power shower boost, a temporary pressure increase from the pump set, ideal for peak usage periods. Users can also connect the platform to home automation systems such as Alexa, enabling voice control for specific functions.
For engineers and building services contractors, H2D delivers a significant leap forward in efficiency, allowing full system parameters to be monitored and adjusted off-site. That means faster fault-finding, quicker resets and fewer callouts, saving time, cost and unnecessary travel. The system is also proving a powerful tool for facilities managers and maintenance planners who can now access real usage data on water and energy consumption, enabling more accurate scheduling and a shift from time-based inspections to usage-based servicing.
“For building professionals, H2D is a practical, time-saving tool. You can monitor the system, adjust performance and test settings in real-time, even if you’re miles away from site. That’s a huge step forward when you consider how much time is lost travelling to fix simple configuration issues.”
Adam Ferneyhough, Country Director for the UK & Ireland at DAB Pumps
One of the standout features of the H2D platform is its ability to deliver real usage data. Unlike traditional approaches that rely on projected calculations, H2D shows actual consumption figures, both water and energy, across daily, weekly and monthly periods. This has major implications for facilities managers and maintenance providers, allowing them to tailor schedules to real-world demand rather than fixed calendar intervals. It also supports more accurate contract planning and sustainability reporting.
H2D’s alarm management is another bonus. Users receive instant push notifications for faults or maintenance expiry, with full alarm history and export functions available for in-depth analysis. The platform also allows consumption comparisons month-to-month, making it easier to identify trends, optimise efficiency and ensure systems remain compliant.
“Whether you’re on a building site, running a maintenance business or managing a large property, H2D gives you the data and control to make better decisions,” adds Adam Ferneyhough. “It helps professionals be proactive rather than reactive and that’s where real cost and efficiency gains are found.”
Existing DConnect users will benefit from a seamless transition to H2D, retaining familiarity with DAB’s approach while gaining access to its expanded capabilities. H2D is available now via the App Store and Google Play, with desktop access through the official H2D website. The platform is compatible with all new-generation DAB pumps, with connectivity built-in as standard.
