New boiler cover platform launches to help heating engineers futureproof revenue

A new platform has launched helping plumbing and heating engineers secure future revenue through service and repair work, as well as reward them for referring customers who sign up for boiler cover.

ComparePAL is an easy-to-use platform designed to increase the number of homeowners who sign up for boiler cover to ensure their system works as efficiently as possible, while saving them money on future repairs and maintenance.

For plumbing and heating engineers who refer a customer to ComparePAL, they get the option to secure that customer and any associated repair, service and maintenance work.

For every customer who buys a policy, the engineer who referred them also gets £40 credited into their account, which can be redeemed as cash or vouchers.

If an engineer doesn’t wish to keep the customer and future service and repair work for any reason, there is an option to pass the customer on to a network of trusted professionals. If any heating installers are looking for additional service and repair work, they can source this through the ComparePAL platform.

“Right now, boiler aftercare in the UK is in a perfect storm,” said Simon Gough, Co-Founder of ComparePAL. “The number of households that regularly service their boiler and heating system is alarmingly low, which can lead to inefficiencies and excessive gas consumption. Some engineers prioritise installations over service and repair work, but with ComparePAL they can earn rewards and keep their customer for future service and repair work if they wish. Increasingly, boiler repairs and maintenance work goes to larger businesses and insurers, but our aim is to help smaller, independent engineers keep their customer relationships.

ComparePAL revolutionises the current model by enabling installers to point their customers to a platform offering tailored cover, service and repair options. When they do so, they simply tick a box to let us know if they want the future work themselves or not. On top of that, with an instant reward for making the referral, it’s a win-win for everyone.”

Engineers can join ComparePAL by visiting www.comparepal.co.uk/engineers. Once registered, engineers get unique QR code stickers to give to customers or stick to installed boilers in case of future breakdowns to increase their chances of rewards.
