Wavin Hep2O’s Pride of Plumbing campaign is shining a light on some of the best, most heart-warming, stories from across the plumbing community.
The series shares extraordinary examples of where installers have gone above and beyond to support others over the last 18 months. Following on from the heart-warming work of Greg Roe, Pride of Plumbing’s second 2021 story is now available to watch.
Dan Ford, co-owner of Balford Plumbing & Heating in Evesham, was put forward for Pride of Plumbing 2021 by his wife Lyndsey for his Hearts for Hope project, after he refused to rest on his laurels and hang up the tools when placed on furlough. Instead, he began to repurpose the copper piping which he was unable to use on site, using his skills to craft copper hearts for his community, which were sold to raise more than £10,000 for local charities. Dan spread a message of love and compassion at a time when it was most needed, and his story demonstrates the selflessness that runs through the industry.
