Leading national builders’ merchant Jewson has launched Project Estimator, an estimating service to help builders and tradespeople save time in the planning stages of their projects, win more work and save money on materials.

Project Estimator enables customers to share the floor plans, section drawings, elevations and specification for their project and receive a comprehensive set of reports. Put together by a UK-based team of ex-trade estimators, the reports include a detailed breakdown of all materials, plant and labour required to complete the project, alongside a condensed, customisable version, which can be personalised with their branding and shared with their clients to help win the work.

Once plans are submitted to Project Estimator, reports are turned around in less than five working days and feature accurate, live material costs from Jewson to provide builders and tradespeople with the most up-to-date prices and help them make savings. Reports can be adapted to include personalised labour rates and mark up margins.

Users of Project Estimator can also take advantage of Co-Pilot, an online portal which stores all their project reports in one easy-to-access space.

Andrew Ellis, Managing Director of Project Estimator, said: “Producing quotes for potential customers takes up valuable time and money that could instead be spent doing the building work itself.

“Put simply, Project Estimator is a more effective way to plan and quote for new business. Users can work directly with our estimating experts, who truly understand the needs of modern builders and tradespeople, and access all the insight and information required to secure their next project.”

To get started with Project Estimator, builders and tradespeople should submit their plans by completing the form on the website, or by emailing info@projectestimator.co.uk.
