Showersave launches QB1-21XE waste water heat recovery system

Showersave has unveiled the Showersave QB1-21XE. Its latest innovation designed to offer enhanced energy efficiency and ease of installation for contractors.

Available for installation from December 2024, this new model builds on the success of its predecessor, the QB1-21, and is designed to deliver maximum energy savings, compliance with building regulations, and ease of installation – key benefits for contractors across the UK. Designed to make the biggest impact on hot water energy savings for showers, the QB1-21XE is an affordable and effective solution for meeting Part L building regulations and future-proofing homes to comply with the upcoming Future Homes Standard (FHS).

With its superior efficiency, the new system allows contractors to provide their clients with a cost-effective solution that lowers utility bills, while also supporting compliance with the UK’s energy efficiency targets.

Why choose the Showersave QB1-21XE?

  1. Superior energy savings for end-users

The QB1-21XE has undergone rigorous testing and is recognised for its high performance in the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP). It delivers a maximum efficiency of 70.6% at 8l/min, making it one of the most efficient WWHRS units on the market, enabling homeowners and occupants to reduce energy consumption and lower utility costs.

  1. Quick and simplified installation

One of the key innovations of the QB1-21XE is its new Cyclone Connector, which eliminates the need for multiple fittings. This design enhancement simplifies the installation process, making it easier and faster for contractors to install, without compromising reliability.

  1. No price increase, improved quality

Despite the advancements in performance and design, Showersave has ensured there is no price increase with the QB1-21XE. Contractors can continue to rely on this product for cost-effective installations and superior quality, without impacting on project budgets.

Showersave has already been installed in over 140,000 homes across the UK and Europe, gaining popularity among contractors, housing associations, and commercial developers. The QB1-21XE can be used in residential and commercial developments, and even supports BREEAM requirements for sustainability in commercial projects.

Tony Gordon, Showersave’s Managing Director, commented: “Our goal is always to improve outcomes for contractors and installers, ensuring compliance with building regulations, while reducing energy consumption and costs. The new QB1-21XE delivers on all these fronts – improved performance, easier installation, and no increase in price.

“As well as helping contractors meet their clients’ needs, the Showersave QB1-21XE offers end-users long-term savings. It is maintenance free and has a proven track record of durability and reliability. Over its lifetime, a single Showersave unit can save a household up to 10 tonnes of carbon and hundreds of pounds in energy costs annually.”
