A donation of £10,000 has been made by Grant UK to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a local charity that has been supported by the staff at Grant UK since 2019.
Despite the usual fundraising activities like bake-offs, staff events and raffles being limited during 2020, the Grant team still managed to pull together and raise a fantastic £10,000 for their chosen charity- the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Just some of the fundraising activities including a Valentine’s Day Bake Sale which raised £100. In addition, Grant UK’s Head of Marketing, Anna Wakefield, ran the virtual Bath Half Marathon and fundraised £810 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance through her JustGiving page. Other fundraising initiatives, including the selling of old company equipment and furniture, also helped contribute to the total.
“2020 was an incredibly difficult year for charities in particular,” writes Anna Wakefield. “Despite the pandemic and restrictions, the Wiltshire Air Ambulance has continued to deliver vital medical assistance and support to critically ill and injured patients throughout. Charity funding is more important than ever and Grant UK is thrilled to present this latest donation to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and we are also pleased to confirm that our support for this local charity will continue into 2021.”
