The UK’s largest conservatory insulation installer has made history by becoming the first in its industry to secure a prestigious accreditation.
CI Group has been awarded the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) for its quality management and ‘uniquely sourced, thermally enhanced quilt and hollow board system’.
Inspectors assessed seven basic principles – including customer focus, evidence-based decision making and relationship management – during the rigorous four-month process.
CI Group has transformed more than 30,000 properties from Land’s End to John O’Groats, and helps homeowners turn their conservatory into a usable space all-year round.
The ISO 9001 certificate was awarded to CI Group in April, last year, and renewed 12 months later following another inspection for ‘the provision of conservatory roof refurbishment via a uniquely sourced, thermally enhanced quilt and hollow board system’.
CI Group’s cutting-edge C.H.R.I.S® system uses a six-layer quilt and technology researched and developed by NASA on the Apollo Space Shuttle.
It helps to reduce up to 90 per cent of heat loss through the roof and control the temperature all-year round.
The privately-owned business, with a turnover of £18 million, employs 70 people across the UK and is headquartered in Greater Manchester.
Company Owner, Peter McDonald launched Conservatory Insulations in 2015 before rebranding as CI Group in July to combine the firm’s insulation and conservatory roof tile business.
With homeowners impacted by the cost of living crisis and rising interest rates, CI Group plans to target the five million homeowners with uninsulated conservatories to show them how to turn their CONservatory into a PROservatory.
David Corbett, CI Group’s Installation Director, said: “The ISO is an internationally recognised independent award that shouts from the rooftops that we care about our customers and that we can deliver our sales promises.
“We are the only company in this industry that has been awarded this prestigious accreditation which ensures a repeated quality management system based on seven principles.
“Every customer’s journey is mapped out to ensure they benefit from the best possible experience and craftsmanship with our unique C.H.R.I.S® system.
“It shows that we have a customer-focussed, quality-driven business ethic that allows us to deliver our promises on a daily basis.”
Matt Forrest, Managing Director of CI Group said: “Every uninsulated conservatory is a problem – they are too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer.
“Our team of experts developed our unique C.H.R.I.S® insulation system to provide a solution to conservatory heating and cooling concerns.
“The unique insulation system utilises materials with properties to control the temperature, allowing you to use the space all year round.”
