Bond It, which ranks as one of the UK’s fastest growing manufacturers of sealants, adhesives, bitumens, waterproofing compounds, levelling compounds and building chemicals have announced its 2022 sponsorship project.
Keen to support and recognise local sports, (they previously sponsored the Huddersfield Giants for a full decade), from April 2022, Bond It will be the official sponsor of family run racing Team MPHR Racing from Halifax as they compete in the 2022 TCR-UK touring car championship.
MPHR Racing have been racing for many years, starting their career with Minis, but have now stepped up a gear with their brand new Audi RS3 LMS. Taking the Audi out on the circuits for the first time this year, driver Brad Hutchison is confident and says the new Bond It livery is a real head turner on the track. That’s if you’re quick enough to see it go past: under the bonnet is an impressive 4 cylinder 2.0 TFSI Turbo charged engine that has been fine tuned to offer top class performance and will be a real contender in this year’s competition.
Launched in 2014, the TCR concept was introduced to level-up touring car racing on a global scale. Featuring production saloons powered by 1.75 – 2-litre turbocharged engines, cars are built by manufacturer-approved constructors to comply with carefully controlled technical regulations and FIA homologation.
It has been so successful that there are now more than 600 TCR cars competing in 30 different TCR championships and the sport has a huge following which grows year on year. 2018 saw the introduction of TCR-UK racing and has firmly established itself as the competitive, high-profile national championship that it deserves to be. In doing so, it has attracted top teams, talented drivers and more spectators than other race series of a similar status.
Building on the achievements of the past season, 2022 will see TCR UK continue its upwards trajectory to provide even more benefits for teams and drivers, featuring a calendar of events at many of the UK’s leading circuits, greater levels of PR and public exposure, bigger grids and closer racing, and the Bond It Audi RS3 will be up there with the pack leaders we are sure.
We will be keenly following Brad throughout the season as he competes in all rounds of the TCR-UK Series: seven race weekends at various UK circuits including Oulton Park, Donnington & Brands Hatch which normally see 20,000 to 40,000 spectators on race days. Keep your eyes peeled from April for this turbo-charged beauty that hopefully will be taking pole position and grabbing all the attention for Brad, for MPH Racing and for Bond It.
