Hiding Pipe Work with Nicobond

Hiding Pipe Work with Nicobond

Hiding pipe work prior to tiling or painting is a straightforward proposition with a Nicobond Pipe Cover.

Covering up unsightly pipes that run through a home can be a daunting task. Traditional methods require you to build a studwork frame that needs to be clad with plasterboard, MDF or timber, before finishing with tiles or paint.

Accuracy in measuring the cladding is paramount to ensure that tiles line up without having to be cut. Creating a corner and an acceptable finish for painting, would also require filling and rubbing joints, which alone can add unnecessary time to your project.

A solution to the problem is a Nicobond Pipe Cover. This pre-manufactured corner features a high density, extruded polystyrene core and a specially formulated, reinforced, smooth cement surface coating.

For ultimate speed of fit, the Pipe Covers are fixed using the same manufacturer’s Polyurethane Adhesive.

With no need for stud work, power tools or fixings, your pipe cover can be ready to tile or paint in under 30 minutes, saving you both time and money on your project.

Being a pre-manufactured product you are guaranteed a straight, square and professional finish every time.

How to Install a Nicobond Pipe Cover

Measure and Cut

Measure the height of the ceiling from the floor where the Pipe Cover is to be installed and cut the Pipe Cover to length using a fine toothed saw. Offer up Pipe Cover into location to ensure fit is correct.

Position

Ensure the wall surfaces where the pipe cover will be fitted are clean, dry and free from dust. Place the Pipe Cover into the corner and position using a spirit level. Using the external edge of the Pipe Cover mark the exiting walls with a pencil line.

Bond

Apply Nicobond Poluretahne (PU) Adhesive (part code N2553130) to all edges of the pipe cover that are to be bonded to the walls. (Please use while observing the guidelines as detailed on the adhesive packaging). Place the Pipe Cover into the final position using the encil lines as a guide and apply pressure until bonded.

Done

Leave in place for 30 minutes for the adhesive to cure.
