All the right moves in Snickers Workwear

Professional Builder’s Tibby Singh is making all the right moves in Snickers Workwear.

Snickers Workwear needs no introduction but something that does need announcing is the new FlexiWork Trousers with Detachable Holster Pockets (No. 6972). Having worn so many of the company’s trousers – especially from its FlexiWork range – I was particularly intrigued to see what advances there have been.

As expected, there are many features on these trousers that have been carried forward from other FlexiWork Trousers, simply because they’re so great, which I’ll run through first. I don’t think I need to confirm how comfortable they are, and they also feel surprisingly thin yet hard wearing, whilst maintaining their flexibility. This is due to the durable ripstop fabric they’re made from, which is a special reinforced material that makes it resistant to tearing and ripping. At the same time, the 4-way stretch panel at the crotch is so flexible it makes you want to dance when nobody’s watching.

Snickers Workwear trousers are renowned for their pockets and, just like clamps, you can never have too many, although it might just take you a little longer to find your keys. The crucial feature of the holster pockets concept, is that they’re detachable with zips and buttons on either end. I can’t emphasise how much I love this feature because, at the end of a long working day, my holster pockets can have more tools in than my toolbox – and that means I can remove them separately.

Another usual essential feature, is the knee guard system, so you can insert your preferred knee pads from the outside of the trouser leg. Snickers Workwear has used trusted Cordura fabric with reinforcements in all the right places – at the knees, leg ends and pockets. This enhanced durability maintains your dignity whether you’re bending for skirting or flexing for flooring. If you forget to put your belt on you don’t need to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions as these have an integrated yet detachable hardwearing belt with clip, which is quick and easy to fasten or undo.

A new feature is the addition of a zip ventilation system at the inner thighs. It’s like a built-in thermostat that you can control and, depending on the temperature, you can simply open the zips to let air pass through, making them versatile for the good old British weather, as well as the task at hand.

Finally, I also noticed that these Snickers Workwear Trousers have been manufactured using Sorona, which is a partially plant-based material. It is known to be high-performance and sustainable, so I’m pleased that Snickers are taking another step towards sustainability and considering eco-efficient textile solutions to minimise the impact we have on the planet.

These Snickers FlexiWork Trousers with Detachable Holster Pockets have walked the walk in my eyes, you don’t just look the part, but you feel the part too!
