STH Westco appoints Steve Forbes as Managing Director
We are delighted to announce that Steve Forbes has been appointed managing director at STH Westco. Coming from MASCO (Bristan Group), Steve has forged a successful career in the building trades, fuel, and distribution sectors, and he brings all this experience to our firm.
In his new role, Steve will be responsible for managing the strategic direction of our business, leading our teams, and building our commercial proposition for growth and sustainability. And, with extensive experience in several leading commercial positions, having successfully turned two businesses around and most recently transformed the Bristan Operations and Customer Service organisations, we look forward to a bright future at STH Westco.
Commenting on his new role, Steve said: “It is a privilege to take over as managing director at STH Westco. Westco is a fantastic company with huge potential. And with products and services that deliver value to our customers, I believe that what we bring to the market is second to none.”

New leadership
To grow our business, we are also making further investments in our senior management team, Westco are currently recruiting for the role Head of Operations and have appointed Geoff Young as Sales & Marketing Director, Geoff will be joining the Westco family on the 1st November. The appointment of a new Sales & Marketing Director is especially exciting as it is a role we haven’t had for over a decade.
We are making both these appointments in response to the tremendous growth we have seen in our business over the last few years.
Improved customer support
In addition to the senior management positions, Westco is recruiting several Area Sales Managers and Technical Sales Managers to better service our customer’s needs.
We realise that there has been a drop in standards over the last few months as some of our previous Area Sales Managers left our business, thus impacting service levels and communication. We are committed to fixing this, and our excellent Regional Account Manager (North), Glynn Wrigley, is busy conducting interviews to rebuild this team. In addition to recruiting new Area Sales Managers, new Technical Sales Managers will also help us develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure their needs are understood and met.
