CONCRETE FLOOR REPAIR

Stronger, more chemical resistant and faster drying – that’s the promise for Concrex Carbon Fibre from Watco. Designed to permanently repair damaged concrete floors, this repair mortar is suitable for a wide range of applications, including very heavily trafficked floors, holes, ramps, loading bays, step nosings and guide rails. The high resin content of Concrex Carbon Fibre also enables the material to form kerbs and repair step nosings, allowing it to be shaped using a trowel.

MASONRY PAINT

Developed for use in challenging conditions both inside and out, Sandtex Trade’s X-Treme X-Posure masonry paint has helped transform a 100-year-old underground space. Although usually applied to external areas, the water-based product was ideally suited for use on the solid stone walls and ceilings thanks to its microporous properties, dirt-resistance, colour retention, and adhesion properties, which makes it suitable for challenging substrates.

WALL COVERINGS

A more cost-effective alternative to stone and quartz for splashbacks is how Opticolour is describing its 4mm Dekton. It will enable customers to have full kitchen wraps at a fraction of the price of thicker alternatives. Furthermore, this reduced thickness – as well as moisture resistance – makes it an alternative to tiles in bathrooms. There’s 24 finishes, as well as a selection in a gloss format, and the material is also resistant to scratching, fire and stains.

SEALANT & ADHESIVE

Unlike some products, which are acetoxy, causing plastic to splinter and break, the hybrid polymer, solvent-free MACXSEAL does not cause any degradation of plastic plumbing products. As such the McAlpine Plumbing Products solution is the only sealant and adhesive tested and approved for use on its own products. Available in Brilliant White and Super Clear, it sticks, seals, fills and bonds, curing and sealing quickly, with high strength grab and UV radiation resistance.

COLOUR TRENDS

Mallow Stem is a new addition to Colourtrend’s contemporary collection which, the manufacturer advises, can come to life when paired with sharp brass or brushed steel accents. The purple-grey shade is part of a trend towards natural, pastel hues in interiors. Purple hues are looked upon as soothing, calming whilst adding character to a room.
