Hilti has launched the new DSH 600-X handheld petrol saw.
It weighs 9.8 kg and has a redesigned cutting hood and arm allowing the saw to achieve a full 120 mm cut depth with a 300 mm diamond blade, reducing the number of cuts needed in many common applications.
The tool also incorporates a three-step quick start with automatic choke reducing starting times significantly. Thanks to Hilti’s blade-break technology, the blade comes to a stop in less than seven seconds therefore increasing operator safety onsite.
The DSH 600-X is designed to give the operator a balanced feel while increasing safety and productivity when undertaking cutting applications in masonry, concrete and steel.
To tackle the issue of dust Hilti has also introduced the new DSH-P self-priming, high-speed water pump. When connected to the DSH 600-X it delivers constant water flow for effective dust suppression whenever the tool is cutting, removing the need to use pressurised water bottles.
In addition, a low level of vibration of less than 2.5m/s2 allows the operator to work for longer.
The DSH 600-X also comes with a maintenance kit featuring a spare spark plug, starter cords, an air filter and a fuel filter for easy maintenance onsite. Plus, it comes with Hilti Connect, a tool management App which connects to a smartphone or mobile device thanks to Near Field Communication (NFC) technology built into the tool.
The Hilti Connect App provides instant access to data including tool type, serial number, ownership, warranty, service and repair schedules and how-to videos.
