Talon releases animated video

It’s not everyday that plumbing and heating products come to life, but Talon has managed to breathe new life into its PipeSnug and FlueSnug range with the launch of a new animated video.

Available on Talon’s LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram channels, the cartoon follows the adventures of the ‘Snugs and how these innovative solutions continue to make installations cleaner, faster, and fully compliant with building regulations.

Both PipeSnug and FlueSnug are featured in action, showing how they simplify the job of achieving compliant, professional finishes around pipework and flues without the mess or hassle traditionally associated with mortar or sealant. PipeSnug, now a key part of Talon’s portfolio following its acquisition in 2023, is a one-piece solution designed to seal around pipework where it enters and exits a building. It not only improves aesthetics but also helps meet the latest Part L requirements by maintaining airtightness and reducing thermal bridging – a critical factor in energy-efficient builds.

Unlike traditional methods which rely on perishable mortar, expensive tapes or silicone, PipeSnug delivers a secure, durable seal in seconds. This not only enhances the quality of the installation but also cuts down labour and material costs. Available in multiple sizes and colours, it’s fast becoming a staple in both domestic and commercial settings.

FlueSnug offers similar benefits – but for boiler flue installations. Designed to seal around boiler flues as they exit walls, FlueSnug supports compliance with building regulations and contributes to the overall energy efficiency of a building. Like PipeSnug, it negates the need for external sealants and the subsequent drying time, ensuring faster installs and fewer call-backs.

The recently launched FlueSnug 5″, or ‘FS5’ is Talon’s latest innovation tailored specifically for replacement boiler installations. Developed in close collaboration with professional installers, the FS5 has been designed to solve one of the most frustrating issues in flue replacement: misaligned or awkward-sized existing holes.

Traditionally, fitting a new flue in place of an old one often requires additional core drilling or remedial patching work to achieve the correct alignment. The FS5 eliminates this issue entirely. Precisely engineered to fit standard 5” flue holes, it slots seamlessly into the existing space, delivering a clean, compliant finish without any extra drilling or rework.

“We wanted this video to really show the practicality and effectiveness of these products on site and have some fun while doing itThe FS5 in particular is something we’re really proud of. It’s not just a new product – it’s a response to a real-world problem that heating engineers deal with every day. By listening to their feedback, we’ve created a flue seal that really streamlines installations while ticking every box for compliance and performance.”
Mike Morris, Marketing Manager at Talon

Talon’s new video campaign underlines the company’s commitment to developing products that genuinely make life easier for professionals in the plumbing and heating trade. With the FS5 joining the trusted PipeSnug and FlueSnug line-up, Talon is reinforcing its position as a leader in practical, high-performance solutions for the built environment.

The video is now live on Talon’s social media – giving installers and specifiers the perfect opportunity to see these products in action. To find out more, follow Talon on LinkedIn, YouTube or Instagram, or click here
