Scruffs most asked questions

Scruffs workwear often receives questions through its social media accounts and customer services team. Professional Builder sat down with Scruffs to discuss the most frequently asked questions. Here’s what they said:

Q What features do the Women’s Trade Flex Holster Trousers have compared to the standard range?

“Ladies – we’ve got your back! The new women’s trousers have a carefully considered fit with a flexible waistband and stretch panels designed to offer more comfort. Plus, tradeswomen can make great use of the handy pockets to store tools and accessories.”

Q Do you offer slim fit trousers?

“Yes! We have a selection of slim fit trousers at a range of price points. Just look for the word FLEX in the product description to be sure you’re looking at a slim fit style. All our slim fit trousers come with built-in stretch, so tradies don’t have to compromise on comfort or freedom of movement.”

Q Which trousers would you recommend for a builder?

“The Pro Flex Holster Trousers are a great choice because they have built-in mechanical stretch, making them comfortable without losing durability. The Ballistic Cordura knees mean they’re strong enough to stand up to tough jobs, and they’re available with and without holster pockets, so you can choose which version to wear depending on the job.”

Q Does all your footwear have a midplate for sole protection?

“Yep – every single style! We believe safety comes first, so we make sure all our footwear protects tradies from underfoot penetration so they can crack on with the job. The steel and composite versions offer the same protection, but a composite midplate is more flexible and lightweight.”

Q Do all toe caps offer the same protection?

“Although they all offer the same safety protection, different toe caps have different properties. Composite toe caps are lighter and don’t conduct the cold the same way as steel toe caps do.”

Q What is the most suitable boot for a builder?

“The Switchback 3 is our most popular boot for builders. It’s lightweight and flexible, shock-absorbing, protects the toes and underfoot, is water-resistant and even has Micro-Fresh technology. What’s not to like?”

Q Do you offer a printing or embroidery service?

“Scruffs tops and jackets are designed so company logos, whether printed or embroidered, can easily be added to the areas where company branding is generally applied. You know what that means? You can now wear comfortable work gear AND look smart on the job! Sorted.”

Q Do you offer a warranty on your workwear?

“Unfortunately, we don’t offer a warranty on our products. But don’t worry, if goods are fully packaged/labelled and not worn you may return them to us within 30 days of receipt, except in the case of sale items.
