Purdy, the leading professional painting tools manufacturer, has launched a new campaign in conjunction with the Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) that looks to champion the professional decorator and inspire the next generation to take up a role in the industry.
Purdy understands that to be a professional decorator it takes a unique set of skills and craftsmanship and appreciation of quality tools. In its new campaign, the company has spoken to professionals to find out what it really means to be a professional decorator – and is looking to impart this knowledge to the next generation.
Laura Hettenbach, Senior Trade Brands Campaign Manager at Purdy said: “To become a professional decorator takes hard work, quality training and a commitment to delivering top-notch service to customers to generate positive word of mouth. Our Inspiring the Next Generation campaign is looking to offer this advice and more to those starting a career in the industry and attract the professional decorators of tomorrow.”
Purdy has also spoken with apprentices to find out what inspired them to take up professional decorating, what their training has taught them and the advice they would give to anyone considering joining the trade.
From 1st June Purdy will be sharing its interviews with decorating professionals and apprentices across its YouTube, Facebook and Instagram accounts. It is also giving others the chance to impart their knowledge, advice and top tips with Purdy followers by sharing videos of their own.
