Embarking on 2024 fills us with optimism, as we eagerly anticipate the promise of fresh opportunities to drive growth. It’s an exhilarating time for reflection, goal-setting, investment in genuine industry-leading initiatives and optimising our processes to ensure maximum efficiency. Exciting times!
Reflecting on our performance in 2023, despite prevailing uncertainty, we achieved new heights which are allowing us to go into 2024 in a strong position. In the New Year, we pledge to persist in innovation and continue our unwavering support for our exceptional Partners.
Future Homes Standard
Our main focus next year will be preparing for the Future Homes Standard (2025). With the government’s plans to drastically improve the energy efficiency of new homes, our in-house R&D team has been very busy in 2023. We were lucky enough to get to share a sneak peek with some of our Partners back in the Autumn, and the positive feedback was overwhelming. Whilst embarking on this significant undertaking has not been without its challenges, we cannot wait to share with you the new suite of products they’ve created. Together, they create the perfect package for any project, whether you’re working on a new build or an existing property.
Excitement builds for our improved manufacturing processes too. In 2023, we undertook a significant investment in our supply chain which will further transform the way we operate as a company and the calibre of product we can offer the market. We’ve always been the best in class, but this is about to be pushed even further. Watch this space.
2023 also saw emerging homeowner trends which present opportunities for those working throughout the supply chain. Amidst a struggling housing market of falling house prices and high mortgage rates, many are opting to improve rather than move. And with the Chancellor announcing a streamlined process for making planning applications during the Autumn Statement, we anticipate more of this in 2024.
Anticipating a fruitful 2024, we eagerly welcome both existing and new Partners into the Origin family. With the introduction of new products, enhanced support initiatives, and measures to enhance accessibility, we are poised for what promises to be our most robust year to date.
