BRICKS
The new Weathered Original Scotch Common and Original Giscol Common bricks from Imperial Bricks are described as sustainable alternatives to reclaimed bricks. Both were originally used in industrial towns in Scotland and the north of England but suitable reclaims are scarce.
COATED BRICKS
It’s the special sustainable coating applied after the firing process that prevents Vandersanden Coated Bricks discolouring. The solution also provides protection against gypsum efflorescence as well as secondary protection against the effects of pollution, white spots and residue, with a 25-year warranty against efflorescence.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCT DECLARATIONS
Tobermore has now published Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its entire product range. An EPD is a document that lays out the environmental performance of a construction product over time and the manufacturer says it can now accurately demonstrate the environmental impact of over 400 paving, walling and kerb products.
CEMENT-EFFECT FLOOR AND WALL TILES
Three cement-effect collections – NOORD, IKON and MOOV – have been added to the Ceramiche Keope porcelain floor and wall tile range. The material is accurately and reliably reproduced in detail in order to provide what is described as an industrial chic effect.
