Isuzu UK will return once again to the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC in Birmingham from 24th–26th May 2022, located at stand 5D60 where Isuzu UK will be presenting the All-New Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35, which will make its public debut, having been unveiled last year as a pre-production concept.
Along with the Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 and the Award-Winning D-Max V-Cross, Isuzu UK will also be displaying an expedition ready Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 vehicle which has been codenamed Basecamp.
Basecamp, which is finished in an Obsidian Grey and Black colour scheme, features an iKamper SkyCamp Mini 3.0 expedition roof tent, mounted to a black aluminium Gearmate hardtop canopy, with side opening and rear, solid gullwing doors. Inside the load bed, the vehicle is equipped with an ARB Outback Solutions modular roller drawer system with a durable carpet finish and even incorporates a slide-out kitchen unit system, including a 3-burner gas stove and 12-litre collapsible sink.
Helping to provide an even more impactful, rugged and extreme appearance, along with its expedition ready capability, the 17-inch black Arctic Trucks alloy wheels are fitted with 35-inch LT315/70 R17 mud-terrain tyres. Mounted to the roof of the vehicle is an ARB Base Rack system that incorporates a front-facing light bar. Completing the overall look and feel of this one-off vehicle, a black ‘A’ bar with three front-facing spotlights is fitted, along with a new design front grille and bonnet protector. The side of the vehicle has also been enhanced with black sidebars, side window visors and a bespoke decal kit.
Brian Wheeler, PR & Product Manager, Isuzu UK said “We are excited to bring the All-New Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 to the CV Show in 2022 as it makes its first public appearance since launch. Also, having been inspired by the extreme nature and adventure possibilities offered with this exciting new flagship model for the Isuzu range, we have created a one-off show vehicle that we have codenamed ‘Basecamp’. This bold, aggressive and rather unique vehicle really does look like you could drive it straight from the CV Show stand and undertake the expedition of a lifetime.”
The Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 is a professionally re-engineered vehicle incorporating significant enhancements to the body, frame, drivetrain, suspension, wheels and tyres. All elements of the build are undertaken by the Pick-Up Professionals at Isuzu UK and experienced Arctic Trucks technicians to ensure the highest standards of quality, adherence to all relevant vehicle type approvals and full alignment with Isuzu’s five-year/125,000-mile warranty. Plus, importantly the vehicle also retains its commercial vehicle status, with no compromise to payload or towing capacity.
