What makes Milbank GDeck more sustainable?
- Low-carbon concrete mix –Milbank GDeck uses a specially developed mix design with reduced cement content, lowering CO₂ emissions compared to standard concrete mixes used in traditional precast and in-situ construction.
- Prestressed concrete beams – Engineered for maximum strength with less material, our beams use tensioned steel to reduce the amount of concrete needed, resulting in up to 25% less embodied carbon than conventional reinforced concrete beams.
- EPS panels with recycled content – Each insulation panel includes 15% recycled material and is fully recyclable at end of life, supporting circular economy principles.
