Designed with the trade in mind, Evolution’s R260DCT-Li cordless disc cutter specialises in concrete cutting and delivers petrol-like performance without the hassle. The 260mm (10”) blade cuts deeper than many 300mm (12”) models. With a maximum cut depth of 102mm (4”) it easily slices through bricks and blocks in a single pass, maximising on-site efficiency.
Efficiency meets endurance with the all-new EvoMax blade too. With a thinner kerf, optimised for use with the cordless disc cutter, it cuts 60% faster and lasts 4 times longer than the manufacturer’s general-purpose diamond blades.
The EvoMax blade and powerful 36v brushless motor combine to deliver longer run times and industry leading cuts per charge. In internal testing the saw achieved 16.2m of cutting on a single charge, 40% more than the leading competition it was up against when cutting 450x450x35mm paving slabs.
Safety first
As expected with a saw like this, dust suppression has been carefully considered too. Evolution’s patent-pending automatic water-fed dust suppression system boasts an automatic valve that lets the water flow as soon as you press the power trigger, and the blade starts spinning. The water then cuts off when you release the power. A separate independent control valve allows you to “set and forget” the flow rate. This all couples with a self-adjusting Blade Guard that makes for consistent water distribution as well as easy angled cutting.
Fatigue has been addressed here too, with a lighter, ergonomic design that offers unmatched handling. The wheeled skid plate supports long, straight cuts with ease, while the electronic brake stops the blade instantly for added safety. On-board tool storage also makes for quick and easy blade changes with space for a spanner.
Combine that with the tool’s rugged build, LED work lights, and rotating blade guard, and you’ve got precision cutting power that’s ready for the harshest jobsite conditions.
