Fergus Go App rolls out health & safety features

Fergus has announced a significant update to its Fergus Go app.

This latest version introduces a range of powerful health and safety features, allowing tradespeople across the UK to manage jobsite safety more effectively while on the move.

The update brings a new Health & Safety section to the app’s main menu, offering users quick access to their company’s H&S officer, nearby medical centres and important safety policies. A dedicated section for logging near misses and incidents allows users to create detailed reports by filling out an intuitive form. This feature enables them to record essential information such as the incident’s date, title, description, involved staff and any photos, ensuring comprehensive documentation of workplace accidents or near misses.

In addition, the app now includes an advanced Hazard section within the job phase tools menu. Users can log existing hazards or mark jobs as hazard-free. Hazards can be added manually or by using pre-set templates and if any hazard requires further mitigation, it will display a red badge as a clear indicator that action is needed. To help teams manage safety documents more efficiently, the update also allows users to attach key documents such as SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) and WDS forms, which can be viewed directly through the app’s PDF viewer.

Another key improvement is expanded user permissions, enabling all Fergus Go users to log incidents and hazards, encouraging full-team participation in safety management on-site.

“At Fergus, we understand that safety on the job site is paramount. The latest updates to the Fergus Go app give tradespeople the tools they need to manage safety effectively, whether it’s logging a hazard or reporting an incident. By making health and safety accessible on the go, we’re empowering trades businesses to prioritise safety without sacrificing efficiency,” says Mark Bartels, Fergus CEO.
