Tape Measure

The RST 5m Black Edition Tape Measure has a class II nylon coated 25mm wide blade, a 2m standout, both metric and imperial markings and a triple riveted non-slip end hook, which measures from zero. A durable bi-material case consists of a tough ABS plastic shell, covered in a shock absorbing rubber jacket, which is slip resistant and comfortable to hold.

Merino Wool

Stay warm or cool in Snickers Workwear’s 100 per cent All-Natural Merino Wool mid- and base-layer clothes. The short and long sleeve T-shirts, leggings and topwear combine wool warmth and body-mapping designs. Merino wool is soft, naturally odour-preventive, temperature-regulating, repels water, dirt particles, and it is anti-static.

Diamond Blades

New blades for multiple applications is the focus of the latest Norton Clipper launches. Wood and Composites cut through hard and soft wood, wooden panels, OSB, MDF, and HDF. Multi-materials are designed for timbers, pallets, nails and non-ferrous metals. Veneer and laminates will tackle melamine faced boards, plywood, laminated panels or sheets of HPL, and the specialist Aluminium is suited to aluminium, brass, and copper.

Outdoor Offer

Makita UK is offering end users the chance to redeem one of its leading LXT lithium-ion batteries when they purchase selected LXT 18V RT and RTE garden machines. The offer runs until until 31st December 2020 and customers that purchase selected Twin 18V PG2 garden machines before then can receive two LXT batteries. Torpedo Level

There’s three solid shockproof UV resistant acrylic vials on the 250mm Kapro 923 heavy duty cast aluminium torpedo level – horizontal, vertical and 45˚. The tools also features a Plumb Site Dual-View vial for easy reading and a ‘V’ groove for pipe and conduit. The precision milled surface helps ensure an accuracy of 0.5mm/m.

HAVS/White Finger

A new British-made technology could prevent Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS), also known as “White Finger”. Developed by Coventry based start-up, Feraru Dynamics, the HAV Sentry Glove monitors, in real-time, the vibrations created by heavy machinery when worn by construction workers operating tools such as grinders, drills and concrete breakers. The technology alerts operatives when it reaches dangerous levels so they know to take a break.

Voltage Detector

Multi coloured LED lights, vibration and sound feedback alarms all feature on the FLIR Systems VP50-2 Non-Contact Voltage Detector. Users can reliably check if an AC circuit is live before beginning work. It will detect voltage on exposed conducting parts, or through insulation, identify live wires within electrical panels, switches, and outlets, and trace live wires and map circuits. An anti-roll case body and durable construction can withstand a 3-metre drop onto concrete.

Body Heat Sensor

A new wearable, real-time heat monitoring system alerts a worker when core body temperature is too high. The Kenzen Smart PPE patch can provide insight into heart rate, activity, skin and ambient temperatures. The alerts are sent to users via device vibration, iOS or Android app notification. These are accompanied by actionable recommendations, such as advise to take a break, or drink water.
