At Google Nest, we want to create a helpful home – one that takes care of the people inside it and the world around it.
Our partnerships with professional installers are an integral part of our mission. You help us make homes safer and more secure, and provide your customers with the assurances they need.
With this week being Gas Safety Week, this is a great time to give your customers peace of mind. That’s why we are joining thousands of brands in celebrating 10 years of keeping the nation safe.
We feel very strongly about the safety of your customers. Our products, such as Google Nest Protect, play a core role in keeping them out of harm’s way. So, how does Nest Protect help?
Sees both fast and slow burning fires
Nest Protect is the smoke and CO alarm that looks for fast-burning fires, smouldering fires and carbon monoxide. With its built-in split-spectrum, humidity and occupancy sensors, Nest Protect is fully equipped to detect danger.
Sees the invisible gas you can’t
Carbon monoxide is an invisible, poisonous gas. Nest Protect tells you where it’s hiding and will alert you.
It’s on your ceiling, and your phone
It can tell your customers when there is a problem even if they’re not at home, by sending a helpful alert to their phone through the Nest app. And if they are at home but have just burnt the toast, there’s no more waving a tea towel – they can easily silence the false alarm with the touch of a button.
Tells you where the danger is
The best part? Nest Protect works with other Nest devices to keep your customers safe. So if a customer has multiple Protects installed, the devices will talk to each other to tell them what and where the danger is. And Nest Protect even works with the Nest Learning Thermostat to shut off the heating system when there is an emergency.
10-year CO sensor
Just like we’re celebrating 10 years of keeping the nation safe, Nest Protect also keeps your customer safe for up to 10 years, with its long-lasting carbon monoxide sensor. It also tests itself over 400 times a day, and uses coloured lights to tell you what’s going on.
Installation friendly
Prefer wired over battery? Nest Protect comes in two available forms: wired or battery. The wired version also has a battery backup to provide extra peace of mind.
