Festool is further expanding its workplace organisation system and offering a new mobile workshop from October 2018. It is ideal for transporting Systainers and, with its flexible worktop, creates optimum working conditions on construction sites and during assembly work. It can be set up individually and ensures that everything is put away neatly.
Thanks to its flexibility and low weight, compact dimensions and ability to manoeuvre stairs, the MW 1000 mobile workshop is easy to transport and immediately ready to use – without time-consuming set-up and disassembly.
The new system solution of the MW 1000 mobile workshop perfectly combines organisation and transport systems with semi-stationary work. “We have equipped the mobile workshop with a flexible worktop and secure transport and storage options for power tools, hand tools, accessories and consumables. The flexible system offers space for everything you might need for work or transport on construction sites or during assembly work,” Oliver Seeger, Product Manager at Festool, describes the new product.
Easily transported and enabling comfortable work
Festool purposely developed its new mobile workshop so that it is easy to transport while also enabling precise working results.
Thanks to the large, fully rubber-lined and shock-resistant wheels, transporting the workshop up and down stairs is no longer a problem – no matter whether it is in a workshop, while loading it into a vehicle or on the construction site.
Its compact dimensions and the effortless set-up and disassembly make the mobile workshop very convenient for daily use. The new MW 1000 is equipped with a stable worktop, comprising a perforated top and an aluminium profile, which offers flexible clamping and attachment options.
A full pull-out drawer for Systainers, with individual and tool-free height adjustment, ensures that all contents are easily accessible. Further pull-out drawers (available as accessories) make the mobile workshop into a customised workspace. In just a few steps, the Systainer and extension table are securely stowed for transport – no slipping guaranteed. They are joined by other clever details, such as a handle with adjustable angle, sliding surfaces and a recessed grip on the pan.
This means that the MW 1000 can be comfortably and easily loaded into a vehicle by just one person. Thanks to robust foldaway legs, the extension table is ready to use in just a few steps. The height-adjustable feet guarantee that the table is level even on uneven surfaces.
Festool has integrated an additional compartment for a SYS-MINI 1 in the basic element, which is ideal for storing small parts. The mobile workshop can be adapted to meet the user’s requirements flexibly and individually. This is also true of the worktop and storage area: if it does not provide enough space, it can be easily expanded with extension tables. MFT/3 accessories are compatible with the new mobile workshop.
Proven workplace organisation systems
Festool has been known for its ideal workplace organisation systems for workshops, construction sites and assembly work for many years. That makes a good impression with customers and saves time and money, as everything is in the right place. At the end of the day, this means: more time working efficiently, less time searching.
“The MFT multifunction table has already proven itself within the trade to be a modern workbench for semi-stationary work. We also already offer organisation and transport systems for the quick and easy transportation of Systainers. With the new mobile workshop, we have now combined those two areas. The MW 1000 impresses with its ease of use, easy set-up and disassembly as well as the comfortable and simple transport,” Product Manager Seeger explains.
A few steps are all it takes to turn the compact unit into a stable workstation, where all tools are in their intended positions and ready for use.
