Schlüter-Systems has announced the launch of the KERDI-BOARD-WS, a vanity unit set for free-standing mixer taps. Designed for specifiers, installers, and end users in the bathroom industry, it is a variant of the popular KERDI-BOARD-W and is not only attention-grabbing in its form, it also offers improved functionality, effortlessly solving the problem of tap placement. Taps can now be installed free-standing.
Offering all of the original attributes and benefits of the much-loved KERDI-BOARD W, the new individually–customisable WS variant boasts several new additional innovative features. The unit can be installed floating in a wall niche or fitted with feet for floor standing, providing the end user with improved options for individuality – making it more personal to their bespoke project.
It is fully prefabricated, and ready for fitting straight out of the box, making installation easier and quicker, saving time for installers and DIY end-users alike. It can be tiled directly and it is fully sealed and protected against moisture so it can be used as part of a waterproof system.
The KERDI-BOARD WS vanity unit can be used in conjunction with several Schlüter-Systems drainage profiles including KERDI-LINE-VARIO-COVE, KERDI-LINE-VARIO-WAVE, or the latest drainage profile KERDI-BOARD-WDP.
This prefabricated vanity unit set includes: KERDI-KERS corner pieces (right and left), a drain adapter with 1¼-inch connection thread (including a KERDI waterproofing collar), and a cartridge of KERDI-FIX, solvent-free, sealing and bonding compound (290g).
