Introducing the TPC165 Panel Cutter from TRUMPF

The TruTool TPC 165 panel cutter from TRUMPF is the ideal solution for cutting polyurethane (PU) or polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam sandwich panels.

Sandwich panels are widely used in the construction industry and consist of PU or PIR foam encapsulated between two metal skins. They are used to construct industrial, retail, agricultural, office and domestic buildings as well as clean and cold rooms. The panels vary in thickness, size and weight and so modifying them on site can be problematic to cut one side, turn the panel over and then cut the other side for example, to create a window space. This is where the TPC 165 from TRUMPF excels.

Quick & precise work speed
The panel cutter cuts sandwich panels up to 165 mm thick in a single operation through both outer skins and the internal insulation. You can quickly and easily create perpendicular cuts with the blade which can be set to 90° to cut a panel to length. The TPC165 also has a clever vertical plunge mechanism allowing you to start at any point on the panel without a start hole to cut interior cut outs (e.g. for a window) or create notches.

The TruTool TPC 165 can cut panels regardless of whether the surface is flat, trapezoidal or corrugated and the optional cut track makes this operation even simpler.

Cutting at up to four metres per minute you can cut the upper and lower sheets in one operation, without the need for reworking or you can set the blade at an angle to only cut the upper metal skin and insulation while leaving the lower skin intact.
Compact design
The TruTool TPC 165 weighs just 9.6 kg and clearly visible cutting markings ensure accurate cuts all along the cutting line. Additional table markings on the machine provide useful reference points for the blade insertion position.
