Trade Kart joins forces with City Plumbing and Lawsons

TradeKart, the rapid delivery app for tradespeople has partnered with City Plumbing and Lawsons merchants to provide next level efficiency and convenience to tradespeople.

City Plumbing

City Plumbing has joined forces with TradeKart, an exciting app-based marketplace that specialises in fulfilling rapid deliveries for tradespeople. TradeKart is the rapid delivery service, which acts as the conduit between tradespeople and merchants. Customers have access to over 25,000 products which can be ordered in the app and delivered directly to site for a flat delivery fee of only £5.

This partnership will enable tradespeople to access City Plumbing’s vast inventory directly through the TradeKart app, and to have their items delivered wherever they need them, in as little as one hour. The service is available from this month within the M25.

“We are thrilled to embark on this partnership with City Plumbing,” said Alistair McAuley, CEO and Founder of TradeKart. “Tradespeople lose an average of three to four hours each week from having to leave site to collect materials, which is a huge financial and time cost on small businesses.  Our mission has always been to support our merchant partners, and bring convenience and flexibility to tradespeople, something this partnership with City Plumbing helps us take to the next level.”

“We are excited to bring this level of convenience to the plumbing community,” said Dave Griggs, Managing Director of Digital Services. “By partnering with TradeKart, we are enhancing our commitment to providing our customers with not only the best products, but also the most efficient and hassle-free shopping experience possible. With TradeKart’s expertise in rapid deliveries, we can ensure that plumbers receive their supplies exactly when and where they need them.”

City Plumbing Dash, powered by TradeKart, will also be launching and will provide a premium delivery service to trade account customers requiring rapid delivery. The collaboration between TradeKart and City Plumbing is set to reshape the plumbing supplies landscape. In a post-pandemic world, people are used to rapid convenience, thanks to the rise of delivery apps like Amazon Prime and Deliveroo. This partnership is one step forward in the evolution of the trade industry and being able to provide professionals and consumers with what they need, when they need it, without having to leave site.

Lawsons

At the same time, TradeKart has come together with Lawsons, the Timber, Fencing and Builders Merchants to form a revolutionary partnership to deliver rapid convenience to trade customers. This exciting collaboration will offer an unprecedented level of service to tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts alike, enabling them to access the Lawsons range through the unique TradeKart app.

“We’re very excited to launch the Lawsons partnership” said Alistair McAuley, Founder and CEO of Tradekart. “Lawsons brings an extensive range of building materials to the app, making it easier for builders to get what they need, when they need it, in as little as one hour.”

“We are excited to be at the forefront of innovation ,” said Jeremy Norris, Joint MD & Commercial Director, Lawsons. “By partnering with TradeKart, we can better service customers who might not be able to make it into a store. We’re thrilled to be changing the way our industry works and getting the materials our customers need to them, wherever they need them, quickly!”

Now, tradespeople in the M25 are able to order from Lawsons’ extensive range of building materials directly through the TradeKart app, meaning they can continue to work while their materials are delivered to them, saving them valuable time and money. The service will initially be available at three Lawsons branches – Camden, Whetstone and Acton – with a view to being rolled out to Lawsons’ 19 branches across London and the South East.
