Team Grant takes millions of steps to fundraise for Wiltshire Air Ambulance

Some of the employees at Grant UK have been busy clocking up the steps to complete Marching March, a fundraising and team building activity which has raised £115 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance charity.

Throughout March, Grant UK’s employees have teamed together to take part in a fundraiser for a local charity. Marching March returned for a second time although this year, staff worked together in teams to walk, run and take as many steps as possible to win the challenge. As well as stepping their way through the month of March, employees also donated to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance with a total of £115 being raised for this local cause.

In total, Team Grant took 10,802,523 steps during Marching March and the winning team who took the most steps was ‘The Jabberwalkies’. The triumphant trio of steppers were Charlotte from Grant UK’s Training Department, Suzie from their Training and HR Department and Scott from their Accounts Team. Charlotte, Suzie and Scott enjoyed lots of walks in the Spring sunshine and even when the weather turned, they kept their step count high to take the lead in this challenge!

“Marching March was a big success last year when employees took part during a time when we could not be together,” writes Anna Wakefield, Head of Marketing at Grant UK. “We wanted to bring it back in 2022 but with a twist, so hence the team challenge. There has been plenty of friendly competition and Marching March has once again been a great initiative to fundraise for charity and support staff well-being.”
