Jeld-Wen, the UK’s leading manufacturer of timber windows, doors and stairs, has launched the brand new Insulux exterior doorset range – a high performance solid timber composite doorset that offers the ideal balance of aesthetics, security and thermal performance.
The Insulux range achieves the beauty of a real wood finish on the outside with all the benefits of modern engineering on the inside. This is thanks an AluClassic door construction consisting of internal aluminium layers which provide added stability and security – whilst the insulating foam core delivers superior thermal performance with U values as low as 1.2 W/m²K for the whole doorset.
The benefit of a real wood finish also means that the doorset can be painted or stained in any RAL colour, and for complete design flexibility a dual interior/exterior colour finish is also available.
The timber exteriors are also routered to offer traditional and cottage panel designs, making them suitable for both front and back doors. Jeld-Wen also offer the added advantage of made to measure solutions with side light and top light options to ensure a suitable match, no matter the project requirement.
The Insulux range is complemented by quality ERA hardware and a Vectis multi-point locking system with thumb-turn operation. As a result the range provides optimum security performance with PAS 24 specification as standard to meet the requirements of Approved Document Q and Secured by Design, making this range ideal for new build properties, or customers looking for that additional peace of mind.
