On July 22, Dulux Academy will be throwing open its doors for an Open House event, welcoming trade professionals who’ve visited before and those wishing to explore the facilities and enjoy a great day out.
Following a successful first event in 2021, the Open House – taking place at the Dulux Academy flagship facility in Slough – promises to be even bigger and better, with a free barbeque , a host of fun games with great prizes up for grabs, product demos, and a chance to win big on a charity raffle raising money for The Rainy Day Trust. Dulux Academy’s charity partner that provides mental health and financial support to tradespeople.
As well as providing a key opportunity to meet face-to-face with the Dulux Academy team, this free event also provides the chance for decorators to meet and hear the latest from Dulux Academy supplier partners, such as Mirka, Olfa, Graham & Brown, Axus Décor, Repair Care, Vista Digital, ProDec, Tesa, Graco, Uniwipe, TradeKart, Corona and 3M along with hearing about the latest products from Dulux Trade and services from Dulux Decorator Centre.
There will also be the chance to meet (or reunite in some cases!) with the guest of honour – the Dulux dog.
Vickie Mather, Dulux Academy Lead at AkzoNobel, says: “Last year’s Open House proved incredibly popular – it was so brilliant to see everyone come together to share their passion and excitement for the industry, and we’re really excited to bring the event back bigger and better this summer.
“Not only do we want to demonstrate the many ways Dulux Academy can support painters and decorators in any stage of their career, we also want to bring them together to enjoy some time with fellow tradespeople, who they can learn from and have fun with at the same time. We’ve added some new and exciting elements for 2022, so we’re really looking forward to seeing everyone get stuck in.
“Events like these don’t just happen, there is a lot of hard work and planning behind the scenes and I’d like to thank our supplier partners for their enthusiasm and participation in this event and their ongoing support in ensuring that Dulux Academy delegates have experience of and access to the very best tools and equipment available in our industry.”
Those in attendance will also be among the first to sign up for The HUB, a flexible online Dulux Academy platform accommodating a host of learning content and resources to make developing painting and decorating skills easier than ever before and ensure Dulux Academy is at your side anytime and anyplace.
Dulux Academy launched in 2016 as the UK’s first dedicated training centre for professional painters and decorators and has hosted over 13,500 attendees since. The Academy offers a range of courses spanning all areas of the industry – from Product, Application and Innovation to Sustainability and Business.
