CONSERVATORIES AND ORANGERIES

Greater use of glass, reduced brickwork, superior thermal insulation, and a contemporary build aesthetic for shape and colour are all evident in the Eurocell range of conservatory and orangery solutions. ROOF LANTERN

The Atlas Roofing Systems’ pyramid lantern now features a new design. The previous version required a small 125mm ridge, but the improved product shortens that ridge to 45mm x 45mm meaning that all four sides are symmetrical. The unit also features a thermally broken structure, improved secure pressure-plated system and fitter-friendly fixings.

MULTI-FOILS

A West Sussex builder who had been insulating properties with PIR board for more than a decade says his life has been transformed with the discovery of a quick, clean, irritant-free alternative from Actis. Ollie Cheesmur of Spitfire Property Improvements recently insulated a pitched roof with 125mm honeycomb style insulation Hybris and insulating vapour control layer HControl Hybrid.

LIQUID COATING SYSTEM

Roofs, gutters, under green roofs, balconies, and more can be waterproofed with the PermaRoof 500 liquid coating system, and there’s also an anti-slip option. Made up of a polyurethane liquid membrane, producing a highly elastomeric waterproofing solution, there’s an ETA certification for a 25-year life expectancy.

QUALITY-ASSURED GLAZING PRODUCTS

Made For Trade’s engineering-led ethos to fenestration manufacturing has taken the next step by attaining valuable ISO9001 quality certification. The accreditation process starts with the experienced sales team and the adoption of consistent processes for dealing with new enquiries, right through to the very last steps as the products leave the factory.

HEAT PUMP MAKEOVER

When the owners of a 5-bedroom Essex barn conversion wanted to replace an ageing oil boiler, they turned to Modutherm and its efficient and highly sustainable Alira air source heat pump. The 8.5kW heat pump was easily connected to the existing 4-zone manifold, delivering a flow temperature of 45oC to the underfloor circuits and oversized radiators.
